NNI WNSC FIGO 2025

The Nestlé Nutrition Institute (NNI) and Wyeth Nutrition Science Center (WNSC) hosted the symposium titled "Empowering Mothers: The Interplay of Nutrition, Microbiome, and Long-Term Health," which took place on October 6, 12:30–1:30 PM, at the FIGO World Congress 2025, Cape Town Convention Centre. This session highlighted the critical role of nutrition in women’s health from preconception to postpartum recovery, and its connection to long-term health outcomes. Leading experts Prof. Francesco de Seta and Prof. Leona Poon shared the latest evidence on nutritional supplementation, postnatal recovery, and the interaction between estrogen and the gut microbiome across reproductive transitions. This activity was designed to enhance clinical knowledge and support evidence-based decision-making in maternal care, empowering HCPs to strengthen their role in guiding patients through key life stages.
