A first glance at optimized complementary feeding diets using linear programing

Linear modeling provides a quantitative whole-diet approach to define optimal complimentary feeding. Meeting most nutrient requirements with whole food diets is feasible, but requires significantly different food group intake in different situations. This approach provides a practical basis for dietary guidance, as well as a rationale for appropriate food fortification.
