A novel approach to the reduction of cat allergen Fel d 1 through inclusion of an egg product ingredient containing anti-Fel d 1 IgY antibodies in the feline diet

It summarizes posters that presented the foundational scientific research as well as studies evaluating the efficacy of a feline diet coated with an egg product ingredient containing anti-Fel d 1 IgY antibodies for reducing levels of immunologically active Fel d 1 in cats’ saliva and on their hair and dander. Additionally, the article presents the results of a chamber study evaluating the efficacy of this approach in reducing nasal and ocular symptoms in cat-allergic individuals.
