Sodium consumption is one of several dietary factors that contribute to increased blood pressure. Eating too much salt in childhood can lead to a preference for salty foods. The sodium intake in adults in China is reported to be high (5235 mg/day) but that in young children is less known. The objective of the study was to understand the sodium intakes in infants and toddlers from China.
