Health Economic Evaluation of Market Driven Fortification Programs: The Philippines Example

Micronutrient deficiencies (MNDs) are a major public health problem in the developing world and particularly harmful during early childhood due to their impact on the physical and cognitive development. We estimate the cost-effectiveness of price-based interventions with packaged fortified powdered milk (FPM) for the reduction of MNDs in 6-23-month-old Filipino children.
