Appropriate and adequate nutrition during infancy is imperative to lifelong health and well-being. Duringthe Nestlé Nutrition satellite symposium held at the 43rd annual meeting of the European Society for PaediatricGastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), international experts discussed advances innutritional support, including treatment of food allergies, immunomodulatory effects of fatty acids, and theeffects of supplementing enteric formulas with pre- and probiotics.
