Samuel J. Fomon Award for Young Investigators
This award is given to a physician within 10 years from completion of medical postdoctoral training for outstanding work in the general area of pediatric nutrition; in particular, in infant nutrition, infant growth, or body composition. As the award honors Dr. Fomon, preclinical and/or clinical research that contributes to medical applications or produces impacts upon the practice of infant feeding will be recognized. The award is supported by the Nestlé Nutrition Institute. Dr. Amy B. Hair from the Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, is named recipient for the 2017 Samuel J. Fomon Young Physician Award.
