Has published over 400 indexed original research articles and review articles in his field, and is an associate editor of New England Journal of Medicine
Director and the Secretary-General of the World Allergy Organization and one of the steering committee members of the ISAAC (International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood) research group
Main research interests include: treatment, control and prevention of allergic disorders including asthma, food allergies and related wheezing disorders in children
