The anti-inflammatory power of exclusive enteral nutrition: from IBD guidelines to real life

The evidence on Exclusive Enteral Nutrition (EEN) in paediatric Crohn’s disease was the focus of a Nestlé Nutrition Institute satellite symposium held during the 31st BSPGHAN Annual Meeting January 2017, Glasgow UK.  International experts focused on the current evidence on EEN for Crohn’s disease, the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease and the role of diet to change the microbiome.

Experts from UK, France and Israel came together to share best practice. They also focussed on the current research; whether maintenance of EEN induce changes in the microbiota are associated with prolongation of disease remission.
