Received his PhD in MRI Physics at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, with post-doctoral fellowships at King’s College London and Oxford University, before joining the School of Engineering and Departments of Pediatrics and Radiology at Brown University
At Brown University, he established the Advanced Baby Imaging Lab, one of the largest pediatric imaging research groups in the world that has focused on investigating the environmental factors that shape fetal, infant, and childhood neurodevelopment
Serves as a Senior Program Officer at the Gates Foundation with the shared aim of improving child neurodevelopment outcomes no matter where a child lives, grows, or plays
