This presentation focuses on the role of environment and /or the role of nutrition on shaping the brain early in life. Central nervous system plasticity is a reality and there is a short period of opportunity the "first 1000 days" which is the period when sensory pathways and language as well as cognitive function start to grow and develop. It is important to have a good environment and good nutrition to lead to better cognition and behavior later in life.
