Gestational Diabetes is typically screened and managed at the second and third trimester of pregnancy, and despite being able to control glycaemia levels, it may have lasting effects for the infant. Therefore, early interventions are recommended, ideally in preconception. Inositols, known to increase insulin sensitivity, regulate fatty acid synthesis, hormone signaling, and key plasma membrane functions, thereby possibly reducing GDM risks.
