Breastfeeding is the best way to feed an infant. New science highlights the unique diversity of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) for the mother-infant dyad. HMOs now with clinical evidence of benefits, ranging from establishing the developing microbiome, immune system to promising benefits in neurocognition. Rapidly growing body of evidence that specific and clinically studied HMOs when added to infant formula, have shown functional benefits. 2’FL and LNnT are among the most studied HMOs with clinical evidence to support immunity and the developing microbiome.
