Diet has taken an important step forward with the adoption of exclusive enteral nutrition as a recommended first line therapy. This has led to a search for a more accepted and feasible dietary approach for induction of remission. The existence of a novel dietary therapy comprised of a whole food diet coupled with enteral nutrition sets diet and dietitians at the forefront of therapy of Crohn’s disease.
