Key Findings from Feeding Infants and Toddlers Study (FITS) - China

In the China Feeding Infant and Toddlers Study (FITS), it was identified that few Chinese children consume sugar-sweetened beverages, but more than 60% of children under 2-years of age exceeded the upper intake level for sodium. FITS in China was called locally the Maternal Infant Nutrition Growth (MING) study and included 1,409 infants and toddlers from 6 to 35 months old recruited from maternal and child care centers in 8 cities in China.
