Replacing sweetened caloric beverages with drinking water is associated with lower energy intake

The results of this study by Stookey et al. strongly suggest that replacing sweetened caloric beverages with drinking water can help lower total energy intake in overweight consumers of sweetened caloric beverages motivated to diet.
