Sanja Kolaček

Sanja Kolaček holds a Masters in Science and PhD both from the Medical University of Zagreb, Croatia. Currently, she is a professor of Pediatrics in the same institution, while also a scientific advisor for the Croatian Ministry of Science.

Prof. Kolaček is a specialist in Pediatric Gastroenterology, and was formerly the Head of the University Department of Pediatrics of the Children’s Hospital Zagreb from 2004 to retirement, and was former President of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) from 2019-2022.

She has over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken over 250 times for different scientific functions, including major European and world congresses. She was also formerly the Associate Editor for the Journal of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, among other editorial and reviewer roles.
