Konstantinos Gerasimidis is a state-registered dietitian in Greece and a professor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of Glasgow, UK who holds a PhD in Nutritional Aspects and Gut Microbiota in Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease also from the same university.

He is the Chair of the Special Interest Group in Clinical Malnutrition and Lead of Quality of Care Initiative in Nutrition for the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN).

He is the leading or last senior author in 81 of 123 publications and participated in various societal position papers and guidelines endorsed by the ESPGHAN and the European Crohn’s and colitis Organisation (ECCO). His research focus is on diet and gut microbiota interaction in health and disease, and disease-associated malnutrition.
