Berthold Koletzko

Berthold Koletzko is a Senior Professor of Pediatrics at Ludwig Maximilians Universität, Munich, Germany. He was trained in paediatrics at Baragwanath Hospital, Johannesburg-Soweto, South Africa; Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center, Moshi, Tanzania; and the Children’s Hospitals of the Universities of Düsseldorf, Germany and Toronto, Canada. His work focuses on metabolic and nutritional modulators of child health and on disease prevention.

With over 1100 scientific journal articles authored, Prof. Koletzko serves as Editor in Chief of Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism, and World Review of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

He is also former president of Federation of International Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (FISPGHAN), European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), International Society for Research in Human Milk and Lactation (ISRHML), and German Society of Nutritional Medicine (DGEM).
