A Full Professor of Pediatrics since 2001​.

Trained at the School of Medicine in Lyon, France (Claude Bernard University Lyon 1), he is working in the Department of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Croix Rousse University Hospital in Lyon, France.​

He developed his clinical research in the field of neonatal and infant nutrition, and particularly optimization of parenteral and enteral nutrition for very preterm infants.​

He worked on the validation of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry in neonates, evaluation of nutrient utilization using nutrient balances, on the evolution of gut flora in extremely preterm infants and the effects of probiotic supplementation.​

He published studies about nutrition of full-term neonates and infants, notably the impact of low protein intake on further risk on infant obesity.​

Research interests: human milk for infants, its composition, optimization of the fortification, and the best way to pasteurize it to preserve its quality.​
