Human health and planetary health are inextricably linked. A sustainable food system needs to support human health for a growing world population tackling all forms of malnutrition. At the same time the food system is facing signficant environmental challenges. One of the biggest threats being climate change. Increasingly uneven distribution of global income and lower harvest volumes due to climate change is driving need for highly affordable nutrition in many parts of the world.
Success requires collective efforts from all stakeholders. There is clear value in academia and the private sector collaborating to develop robust models, clear mitigation action plans and focused adaptation to make business more sustainable.
