Nutritional Evidence in the ICU & Post Discharge: Impact on Patient Care Part 2

Speakers: Zudin Puthucheary, MD, PhD, Manpreet Mundi, MD

Summary

Part 2 of this ASPEN virtual symposium presented on March 29, 2020 reviews guidelines and potential future recommendations for protein across the continuum of care from ICU to rehabilitation.  Gaps are identified where randomized controlled trials are needed prior to making a change in practice. This is paired with recent results from a real world study of peptide-based diets in the management of intolerance in patients on home enteral nutrition.
