Nutrition and Growth Yearbook 2021

Raanan Shamir, Berthold Koletzko, Dominique Turck, Moshe Phillip

The year 2020 has been a year where a new virus, SARS-CoV-2, changed the world. With that, the food chain was challenged in many parts of the world. Ensuring adequate nutrition to secure the growth and well-being, particularly of infants and young children, met new obstacles. Within these new threats, the pediatric world continued to treat and study nutritional conditions and growth. These studies are reflected in the 2021 edition of the Nutrition and Growth Yearbook. With this book, an international group of experts in nutrition, metabolism, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and auxology joined together to select for our readers some of the important papers published between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020, exploring topics on children’s growth, with a special focus on papers that studied the interaction between nutrition and growth.
