The inclination towards a particular type of food, flavour and taste develops right from the time when the foetus is developing. The foetus swallows and absorbs the food that the mother consumes. The taste buds that are developed at this stage, and the flavours preferred mostly stay on and continue through childhood and adulthood too. Similarly, the timing when the baby is introduced to the solid food, post birth, also has a significant influence on the nutrition and development of the baby. It also has an impact on the acceptance of different types of foods in later stages of life.
