Founder and manager of the Great Neonatal Biobank, co-applicant member of research teams for large UK nutrition/feeding trials including SIFT, ELFIL, and MAGPIE.

Translational neonatal researcher with interest in NEC, the microbiome/metabolome, markerts of health and disease, breastmilk, HMO and more.

Current interests: maximizing learning from salvaged samples includin enteroids from preterm gut tissue; translational research in NEC, LOS. Role of breastmilk HMO and secretory IgA in NEC protection/prevention.
