At a satellite symposium held during the 44th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), leading experts called for a more holistic approach to optimize nutritional support for pediatric patients. A balanced protein intake, optimal fat blends and the use of probiotics with proven benefits can improve outcomes for children with impaired growth velocity and stature, specific atopic diseases and altered neurologic development.
