Presented at: Nestlé International Nutrition Symposium (NINs)
Nature’s most intriguing and complicated organ, the human brain reveals its secrets slowly. While every human brain is wired differently, even those of identical twins, they all are part of a common architecture. Neuroscientists have puzzled for years how the natural variation that is seen comes about and how it might be influenced by epigenetic factors of all kinds. Recent advances in cognitive neuroscience have revealed not only some of the developmental secrets but also the changes in brain structure throughout the lifespan. These and other issues will be discussed.
