During September 2018, the NNIA participated in and exhibited at the 2018 Nutrition Congress at Misty Hills Conference Centre and Hotel, Muldersdrift – Gauteng. The congress is held every 2 years, and attracts approximately 500 - 600 delegates.
This year’s theme was Nutrition: Past, Present, and Future and the Congress programme ran over 3 days. It included various workshops and updates, and both international and national speakers addressed the delegates. .
Delegates included dieticians and colleagues involved in the field of nutrition, with scientists, researchers, lecturers, government employees, NGOs and private practice representatives among them.
As part of the Congress, the NNIA had an exhibition stand, which was well supported by Convention delegates. It provided an ideal opportunity for the health professionals to keep catch up with the latest developments in nutrition.
