What is the Nestlé Nutrition Institute
Our Commitment
For more than 60 years, Nestlé has contributed to the continuing nutrition education of health professionals. The formation of the Nestlé Nutrition Institute formalizes this long-standing commitment at a global level. The Institute invites health professionals in the area of infant, clinical and performance nutrition to a constant exchange of knowledge and nutrition expertise. This communication initiative comprises workshops, publications, educational material and scholarships as well as our new interactive website.

Nestlé Nutrition Workshops
A series of over 70 International Workshops drawing on world-recognized experts have been held on a regular basis since 1981. The Workshop proceedings are published in extenso in books and in summary form as booklets. The Nestlé Nutrition Workshops enable leading scientists and clinicians to meet and participate in discussions on topics of concern to the health community around the globe. Recent Workshops have focused, for example, on polyunsaturated fatty acids, nutrition and bone development, intestinal immunology, probiotics, food allergy, obesity and diabetes amongst many other topics.

Nestlé Nutrition Publications
The Nestlé Nutrition Institute has produced more than 3000 publications for health professionals since its original creation in 1960.

Annales Nestlé
This pediatric journal has been regularly published since 1942. Now issued three times per year in four languages, it contains up-to-date review articles on hot topics related to clinical practice and research.

The Nest
Covering broad aspects of public health and infant nutrition, this publication was especially developed to answer practical needs of pediatric health professionals. The Nest is published twice a year in 8 languages to facilitate widespread communication around the world.

Clinical Nutrition Highlights
This scientific journal is published three times per year and focuses on topics most relevant to the medical profession in the area of clinical nutrition.

Educational Material
A wide range of printed, audio-visual and electronic material is available to health professionals in English, French and Spanish. A pocket guide on Enteral Nutrition, the Mini-Nutritional Assessment, Baby's Health Records and Growth Charts, videos and DVDs such as "Nutritional Modulation of the Infant's Immune System" are only a few examples of the material available to health care professionals for continued education and practical health care.

Scholarships
More than 450 young doctors and other health professionals from developing countries have already benefited from our scholarships. Grantees receive funding for postgraduate study or training in fields related to infant and maternal health and nutrition. The knowledge gained is put into practical use when the grant recipients return to their home countries.
