The NNI provided an unrestricted grant for this intensive e-learning program. Grouped into nine modules, each module takes approx. 120 minutes to complete. A total of 20 European continuous medical education (CME) credits are awarded by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and are valid for recognition by the American Medical Association (AMA) and count towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). The training is addressed to pediatricians, nutritionists, hepatologists and medics in training.

The Nestlé Nutrition Institute supported the preparation of six accredited Self Study Monographs.  Each educational monograph is approximately 10 pages long and designed as an independent educational program. It is approved to provide 1 hour of educational credits to physicians, nurses and dietitians.  The credits are also recognized internationally. There is no fee to healthcare professionals to access these monographs.
